10-Year Limited Warranty

All Montescand products are crafted with exceptional care, using premium materials and professional finishing systems designed for long-term durability.

We provide a 10-year limited warranty covering structural and manufacturing defects in materials and craftsmanship.

This warranty reflects our confidence in the quality, precision, and longevity of every Montescand product.

The warranty is valid from the date of purchase and applies exclusively to products used under normal residential conditions and installed according to Montescand AB’s installation and maintenance guidelines.

What the warranty covers

  • Structural integrity of wooden and veneered components.

  • Surfaces treated with Osmo oil, Sherwin-Williams lacquer, or other professional protective coatings used by Montescand.

  • Manufacturing or material defects that appear under normal use.

  • Products installed and used according to Montescand’s care and ventilation recommendations.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Damage caused by improper installation, water exposure, impact, misuse, or lack of maintenance.

  • Damage from direct contact with water, such as splashing, leaking pipes, or standing water.

  • Natural changes in color, texture, and tone of wood over time.

  • Scratches, stains, chemical or heat marks, or abrasive cleaning damage.

  • Products that have been modified, refinished, or repaired by third parties.

Moisture and water resistance

All Montescand bathroom products are made from moisture-resistant HDF boards and veneered surfaces further protected with Sherwin-Williams 2K lacquer (Furni Clear TM1512) or Osmo Polyx-Oil.

These finishes create a durable layer that protects against humidity, steam, and condensation in normal bathroom conditions.

The warranty covers moisture resistance in properly ventilated bathrooms, but does not cover damage caused by continuous or direct water exposure.

If placed near a shower area, we recommend a protective partition such as glass or wall shielding to prevent splashing.

Materials and finishes

We use only premium materials, carefully selected for each project:

  • Solid wood components (walnut, oak, ash) combined with moisture-resistant veneered HDF panels.

  • Surface finishes:

    • Sherwin-Williams TM1512 hard lacquer – professional two-component lacquer for maximum durability and water resistance.

    • Osmo Polyx-Oil Original – natural oil and wax finish that allows the wood to breathe, enhancing its natural warmth and texture.

  • All joints and edges are carefully sealed to minimize moisture absorption.

Each piece is inspected and approved before delivery to ensure flawless quality.

Care and maintenance

To preserve the beauty and durability of your furniture:

  • Keep the room well ventilated.

  • Wipe off any moisture from surfaces with a soft, dry cloth after use.

  • Avoid standing water, especially around the sink area.

  • Use only mild detergents and non-abrasive cloths.

  • Do not use products containing ammonia, alcohol, chlorine, or abrasives.

For Osmo-oiled surfaces, we recommend reapplying oil every 1–2 years, depending on humidity and usage conditions.

Warranty exclusions

The warranty is void if:

  • the product was not installed according to Montescand’s instructions,

  • it was used in a non-ventilated bathroom,

  • it was exposed to direct water contact for extended periods,

  • it was later modified, refinished, or damaged by others.
